The Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF) and the International Union of Railways (UIC) have the pleasure of inviting you to a Workshop on Superconductivity for Railway Application.
Superconducting technology has moved from research laboratories to the industrial world. The rail sector, on the strength of these technological initiatives, is integrating this technology into its infrastructures: Europe with cables and fault limiters, and Asia with rail vehicle projects. This first workshop aims to present a state of the art of the current projects.
This workshop will be held at UIC in Paris from 11 December all day to 12 December 2024 morning. A technical visit will be organized for a limited number of people on 12 December 2024 afternoon (SNCF- Rue de Vouillé – 75015 PARIS).
