The UIC-RUT Training Session on Best HR & Training Practices for
Railways will take place at Russian University of Transport, Moscow, Russia

The training session will be conducted in English with translation to Russian.

Primary objectives:

  • Expertise development, skills development and human capital enhancement are within the scope of fundamental values promoted by the UIC.
  • Particularly, APRA strategic vision 2050 includes a core value of expertise and skills’ development.
  • Human capital development is fundamental for the success of on-going activities and future projects of the members.
  • It is of mutual interest to obtain new knowledge & skills, develop systemized approach, to share professional opinions and to develop common vision of the answers to main challenges in the field of human resources’ management, development, and training.

  • HR- managers, HR strategists, developers
  • Corporate training centres-program developers, general managers
  • Universities – UIC APRA members
  • UIC training centres

Main suggested topics:

  • Human resource management in railway corporates: organisation issues.
  • Assessment of efficiency of personnel: different objectives & different methods.
  • Establishing the requirements for training: prerequisites, qualifications, staff categories, regularity, forms, curriculum, etc.
  • Assessment of efficiency of training: is there place for common approach?
  • Forms and organization of in-corporate and external training
  • Features of training for specific business operations (e.g. HSR), international and cross-cultural training practices
  • Practical interaction between rail companies, corporate training centers and academia
  • Presentation of on-going APRA project on Reference Guide of Job profiles

qualifications frameworks.

13:50 – 19:00 technical visit (RUT technical college and lyceum, Russian
Railways training centre, Moscow circle railway)

9:30 – 10:15 International cooperation in rail training. UIC training centers.
UIC e-learning programs. RailUniNet.
10:15 – 11:15 International and bilateral training projects at regional levels.
11:15 – 11:35 Coffee break
11:35 - 12:15– Questions and answers. General discussion
12:15 – 13:00 Closure of the training session. Remittance of certificates. Team
photo.
13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
14:00 – 19:00 Cultural visit
Kremlin tour or Tretyakov art gallery or Pushkin museum visit (optional).
